On more than one forum lately there are topics about people who build multiple MLM companies, and we’re not talking about those who use “cheapies” or “feeder” programs in order to build their list and then “stair step” them into pricier endeavors.
Heck….I suppose we’re talking about people like me.
It’s no mystery that I’m building both a US based MLM team and an International based MLM team, and it’s also no mystery (or at least I hope it’s not), that I’m not exactly the average bear, because the method of my team building is such that I’ve actually tied both MLM companies into an even larger project which is the company I’m launching around August 1st called Oceanside Network.
But let’s assume that I wasn’t launching my own company, and I wasn’t directly tying all of my businesses and teams together.
Let’s paint the picture that I was just building EIRO and Usana, one company that is US based only, and one company that is International based.
My question is…….why NOT take advantage of ALL of the traffic and ALL of the visitors that my blogs produce? Something like 64% of my daily traffic is from OUTSIDE the United States!
I think too many “egos” out there get really pretentious when we even discuss this topic. The old, “You need to commit to one company and really hammer it home.”
My question is……How many MLM companies suddenly drop the bottom out of their payplans? And yes…I understand…..that if you build your teams correctly they will probably transfer over to you. But transferring a team takes time and during that time…..you aren’t earning an income. (And of course nobody ever gets a 100% complete team transfer, so you take a % hit)
A lot of people claim that it’s simply not possible to build two teams, because you lose “focus”.
My question is…..if we’re using the Internet, and we train our teams over Emails, Conference Calls, Webinars, Phone Calls and Instant Messengers…..does it REALLY matter which company your team member is in as long as you are supporting them to the fullest?
Some claim that “it’s never been done before, and there’s a good reason for that.”
My question is: Why then am I 1 distributor away from making Director at EIRO Research, and why is my Usana team growing by the day? I mean….they said man would never land on the moon or fly either…..
Overall, I feel too many people are afraid to embrace what the Internet is truly offering us in our MLM businesses. Where as in the past you were limited to how many people you could talk to, and your ability to “support” your teams was usually with hotel meetings and monthly conventions, and 1 way phone calls.
Now we have a veritable plethora of “instant” support tools that we can use to contact our entire teams on a daily basis with the push of a button. Now we have the Internet, and SEO and Traffic, and Website Systems that work for us 24/7. Next year will be 2010…..they used to make sci fi movies about that year, and the point is…..this isn’t 1999 anymore. What limited us back then……is now an open door for us.
And while I’m not condoning that everyone should go out immediately and start building a second MLM.
I am arguing that “If you can do it” “if you have the time, and experience in building an online marketing machine”. Then heck…….why not build a Global Team. A team that might be so large, span so many countries that one company simply cannot contain it all.
Dream Big.
And then go out there and “just do it”.
